TV2ART Lightascope

You all know when it comes to plasma TV art that there are several DVDs on the market: swimming fish, nature scenes and of course the old Yule Log that perpetually burns on TV screens across America. But what if TV art could inspire viewers- not just pacify their weary minds.

TV2ART offers ambient TV art experiences via its Lightascopes. Each Lightascope is a part of larger system ( a Media Center or a Sliding Frame). A TV frame that is both a concealing and revealing apparatus contains the Lightascope.

Interior Designers Love TV2ART

October 8th, 2007 by

.  “Our company goal is to give people a simple, beautiful way to blend their flat-panels into their homes and offices.” says TV2ART CEO Daniel Goldstein. “We have created a wonderful award-winning product, the Lightascope, and have now made this a component of a revolutionary new line of home theatre furnishings.”

The new TV2ART Media Center consists of three components: an upper shelf, a framed cover for the TV called the Lightascope that is specially printed with opaque and transparent designs, and a lower shelf/cabinet with room to store a DVD player and other components. The framed Lightascope slides to the side when one wishes to watch TV. The Lightascope is an elegant cover when the TV is off, but what happens when the Lightascope remains over the TV when the TV is on is unique. The TV frame artwork is what so many people are seeking.

“The Lightascope samples the TV light and filters it, creating wonderful, jewel-toned designs that change constantly. It’s perfect for parties, relaxing or keeping kids entertained.” says Goldstein. “Media outlets from HGTV to the Wall Street Journal have done stories on the flat-panel home décor challenge. We’re the first company to marry the concepts of hiding the flat panel TV and using it to make a new kind of exciting artwork.”

The company will also be releasing another line of AV Furniture: TV2ART Sliding Frames. A wooden frame containing a Lightascope is mounted on a patented steel system and either slides apart horizontally (Side-2-Side Sliding Frame) or vertically (Up-N-Down Sliding Frame).  The framed cover of the Side-2-Side Sliding Frame separates in the center and rests at either side of the TV, while the Up-N-Down Sliding Frame rests either above or below the TV. “These products are perfect for flat-panel owners in apartments or homes where wall space is more limited.” adds Goldstein.

An early form of the new media center was shown at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in

New York City in May 2007.  “The response from the public was enthusiastic.” says John Kapellas TV2ART President. “People need a way to both hide and beautify their flat panel TVs. We kept hearing: ‘Why didn’t I think of that.’.”

The TV2ART Media Center fits in well with the desire for the clean contemporary design sought by interior designers and home owners looking for a way to hide their large flat panels from view.

“My clients want flat-panel TVs throughout their homes.” says

San Francisco interior designer Ron Newman of Ron Newman Design. “The problem is that these large TVs usually don’t compliment the décor. This product solves that problem hands down. It’s sleek, elegant and works perfectly with any style. You can hide the TV instantly with something that is artful and well-designed. The television frame is perfect along with the ambient tv art work inside the frame.”
